Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking a Food Program Operations Manager to support our client at their San Francisco, CA office. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a dynamic and evolving food service program that plays a key role in company culture and employee experience.

Contract: 6- Month Contract, W2

Location: ONSITE – San Francisco, CA

Pay Rate: $60–$80/hr W2 (Depending on Experience)

Schedule: 40 hours/week | Onsite, Monday–Friday

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Food Program Operations Manager to lead and scale food service operations across multiple office locations. This individual will play a pivotal role in vendor management, operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards in food quality, safety, and service delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily food service operations across multiple San Francisco office locations, including micro kitchens, cafes, and event catering.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all food service vendors, managing relationships and ensuring consistent, high-quality service.
  • Partner with vendors to develop and maintain menus aligned with employee preferences and company culture.
  • Set and track operational Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) aligned with company-wide goals.
  • Monitor budgets and cost-per-person metrics, ensuring financial responsibility as operations scale.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations in coordination with the health department.
  • Collect and evaluate employee feedback to identify areas of improvement and drive satisfaction.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Support potential office expansions, adapting food programs accordingly.

Requirements:

  • 6–8 years of experience in food and beverage operations, preferably across multi-office or campus environments.
  • Proven experience in vendor selection, negotiation, and performance management.
  • Strong financial management skills with the ability to oversee large-scale budgets.
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of food safety practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week and traveling locally between office locations.
