COOK SYSTEMS has an immediate need for a Senior Advisor: HRIS (Workday)
This role will be the primary lead for the strategy of configuration, testing, data security, release planning, and implementation of Workday modules and associated or adjacent technology within our organization. The candidate will be a strong partner for both Employee Experience and other business stakeholders to architect solutions and provide best practice guidance related to facets of our HR technology staff and integrated systems and processes. This would include methods of gathering requirements, implementing managing system integrations.
Managing security architecture, compliance with privacy laws and practices, and providing oversight, guidance on how to architect our solutions (including Workday). This role may also provide leadership on the implementation of significant new capabilities or products. The Sr. Advisor is responsible for recommending solutions, architecture, and integrations, and will at times be asked to configure, test, validate, and vet processes and capabilities before being migrated to Production.
This role will necessarily include research and analysis of data and business processes.
Partnering closely with client groups and stakeholders that include Employee Experience, Information Security, IT, Finance and Legal, this role will provide system consultation, guidance, and support to meet our organization’s strategic and operational needs.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide guidance and detailed recommendations on the building, configuration and maintenance. Workday and various external systems, data exchanges, integrations, and security.
Collaborate closely with technical teams and vendors to develop integration strategies, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance, ensuring all integrations are secure, efficient, and meet business requirements.
Take the lead role to analyze and provide guidance to EX and other stakeholders on bi-annual Workday releases.
Develop test strategies and manage testing phases to ensure all Workday modules and integrations function correctly, even though testing may be executed by others.
Provide strong partnership and customer support for project teams and stakeholders to identify defects, track issues, and verify that the system meets business requirements before launching new integrations.
Work closely with business partners and functional teams to identify gaps and enhancement opportunities to mature the Workday infrastructure.
Design and implement new methods, and systems (both automated and manual) to improve the processing and flow of information within the company leveraging Workday best practices.
Support documentation of system architecture, data lifecycle, and business continuity plans.
Support application configuration, system integrations as well as escalated incident resolution where issues require urgent resolution and a deep understanding of our systems, primarily Workday.
Audit Workday and subsequently improve foundational components including, but not limited to, organization structure, data hygiene, integrations, security model, job architecture, learning campaigns and business processes
Support stability, security, and architecture of new and existing Workday Enterprise Interface integrations with vendors, monitoring processes to ensure successful execution
Recommend and implement systems or processes to monitor, audit, and maintain HR data within Workday to ensure accuracy, compliance, privacy, security, and data integrity.
Meet with EX leadership to review and educate on system strategy and process integrations with those systems.
Requirements:
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Workday HCM functionalities with a minimum of seven years of experience in Workday implementation, configuration, and process optimization including Workday HCM Core set up, architecture and integration with increasing levels of responsibility.
Workday certification required. Proven experience with full-cycle implementation including recommending, developing, configuring, and implementing effective system solutions. In-depth experience with Workday HCM core including security, business process design and core experience required.
Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving, requirements gathering, process improvement, and data analysis capabilities.
Project Management Experience : Experience being the primary lead for cross-functional projects and interacting at all levels of the organization. Program Management experience required; PM certifications preferred. Proven experience building and maintaining strong relationship with the ability to develop consensus Experience providing quality training for end-users on Workday functionality with the ability to understand needs for seamless user adoption.
